Meet the team
A. Jason Vangunster
Director/ Senior Physiotherapist
Hello, my name is Jason, and I have 6 years of experience in treating musculoskeletal pathologies, both acute and chronic. I have a passion for treating conditions that affect the lower back, shoulder, and knee, and I use a range of modalities such as dry needling, joint mobilisation, and massage to help my patients achieve their goals.
While I believe that these modalities can be incredibly effective in treating a range of conditions, I also believe that education and exercise are key components of achieving long-term success. That is why I place a huge emphasis on providing my patients with the tools and knowledge they need to take an active role in their recovery and foster patient autonomy.
Overall, my goal as a physiotherapist is to help my patients achieve their highest level of function and quality of life, whether that means recovering from an injury or managing a chronic condition.
Zihan Zang
Senior Physiotherapist
I graduated from AUT in 2018 and had been working as a musculoskeletal physio for 4 years with a special interest in sports rehabilitation. I am involved with local football teams managing their injuries and returning to sports.
Recently, I transitioned into the occupational physiotherapy space with the focus on injury prevention and return to work. I have proficient skills in manual therapy including dry needling, evidence and exercise based rehabilitation, return to sports including postoperative rehabilitation, return to work, and any lower limb injuries.
I am currently completing my postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I believe that movement is a key to health, and returning you back to movement and meaningful function collaboratively is my goal.
Makas Rogers
Director/ Clinic Manager
With my background in hospitality and account reconciliation it has prepared me for this wonderful journey in managing my own business. I love getting to know my community and being able to support them through their recovery with us at Onehunga Physio.
You won’t catch me in the clinic every day because I am a full time mum to mine and Jasons two beautiful children. I would say I am most happiest when I am with my family and fur baby’s.
